Hello ! My name is Falyn Page and I am a multimedia journalist. I recently graduated from the University of Missouri where received my degree in Convergence Journalism and a certificate in Multicultural Studies.
“Communicating” is my gift and I plan to use my gift to give a voice to the voiceless. I plan on doing this by using my various skills from researching, pitching story ideas, writing, interviewing, photo editing, and creating compelling video and audio pieces.
I like to refer to myself as a "one-woman band" because my skill set crosses all platforms of journalism. I love storytelling and the process of putting each piece together to create multimedia stories to share with the world.
Currently, I am a post-graduate newsroom fellow at CNBC. I am apart of a 6 month rotational program where I assist in producing segments for the show "Closing Bell", work on the Breaking News Assignment Desk and in September will began writing for the digital side of the business with CNBC.com.
Fortunately, I’ve had numerous platforms which have helped me develop and hone my craft: from writing for CNN, to creating multimedia (video and editorial) pieces for Newsy and Vox Magazine, to photo editing at the Columbia Missourian and hosting entertainment segments for Celebified, to even taking my talents to Beijing, China and reporting and doing social media stories at the China Open tennis tournament.
As a future multimedia journalist, I aspire to report and represent truth. Mother Theresa's quote is how I'd like you to remember me: “I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.”
Thank you and God bless!
